Singapore's trusted guide to funeral planning, across every faith, every budget, every situation.
Funeral Compass is an independent directory built to bring transparency, dignity, and clarity to funeral planning in Singapore. We are free to use, free of commissions, and free of pressure.
Built by outsiders who saw a gap
We are a small Singapore-based team who noticed that one of life's most difficult moments, organising a funeral, was also one of the least supported by clear, accessible information. What we had was a belief that families deserved a better platform: one where they could compare providers honestly, understand their options across faiths, locations and budgets, and access reliable guides without being pushed toward a sale.
Planning a funeral in Singapore involves navigating NEA regulations, comparing religious rites, choosing a trusted funeral director, and coordinating logistics, often within hours of an emotional loss. We saw families facing all of this without a single clear starting point.
Funeral Compass was built to be that starting point. Not a funeral director, not a booking platform. We are simply a guide, in the truest sense.
A directory and a set of guides, built for families, not providers
Funeral Compass serves two purposes. First, a comprehensive directory of funeral service providers across Singapore, covering Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, and Secular traditions. Second, a library of free, detailed guides covering every stage of the funeral and bereavement process.
Hundreds of funeral service providers across Singapore, organised by faith tradition, service type, and location. Each listing is manually reviewed before it goes live.
We prioritise providers who offer itemised pricing and clear package inclusions, helping you make informed decisions without hidden costs or surprise charges.
Our directory and guides are built around Singapore's specific landscape, from HDB void deck permits and Town Council procedures to NEA cremation bookings and CPF estate matters.
Our step-by-step guides are written for families, not to drive bookings. They are free, regularly updated, and contain no affiliate links or sponsored recommendations.
Our guides cover every stage of the journey, from the hours immediately after a passing, through the funeral itself, to the months of estate administration that follow. Access them directly below.
Independent by design
We believe transparency about what we are not is just as important as describing what we are. Before you use Funeral Compass, here is what you should know.
- We are not a funeral director. Funeral Compass does not provide funeral services. We connect you with providers, the relationship is entirely between you and them.
- We do not earn commissions from bookings. We receive no payment when you contact or engage a funeral director through our platform.
- We do not share your contact details with providers. Any enquiry you make through our platform stays between you and the provider you choose to contact. We do not sell leads.
- We are free, for families and funeral directors. Funeral Compass is free to use for families seeking information, and free for funeral directors to be listed in our directory.
How we review and verify listings
Every funeral director listed on Funeral Compass is manually reviewed by our team before going live. We do not accept automated submissions. Our verification process checks the following.
- ACRA registration. We verify that each business is a registered legal entity with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore.
- Funeral industry association membership. Where applicable, we check for membership of the Association of Funeral Directors Singapore (AFD) or equivalent recognised bodies. Association membership reflects a commitment to professional standards within the industry.
- Active business website. We require each listed provider to have a functioning, publicly accessible website so families can independently verify their services, pricing, and contact details.
We acknowledge that verification has limits. We encourage families to conduct their own due diligence, ask for itemised quotes, and where possible read independent reviews before engaging any provider.
You do not have to navigate this alone.
